Aside from teaching and publishing, my music studio serves as a creative hub for numerous musical projects. Here, I will share some of my musical styles, interests, and involvements. One of my favorite activites has been writing contemporary jazz-fusion works arranged for keyboards, guitar, bass, drums and percussion. Thanks to the many years of exposure to such instruments, I was able to conceive, perform or program virtually every sound in these recordings. Seven excerpts are presented below.Since 2000, I have been writing expressive, character pieces for solo piano. Here is the brief yet evocative Prelude 1.Studio City Lifestyle Magazine publisher Barry Wise is also a poet/songwriter and loves to have his lyricsand melodies turned into musical tracks.I take his musical sketches from concept to completion. “I have known Barry Wehrli for years and love working with him” says Wise. “We have also worked and recorded with award-winning singer/songwriter Deedee O’ Malley.”A 3-time John Lennon Songwriting Contest winner, Deedee has shared the stage with LeAnn Rimes, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, and Glen Campbell. Her songs have been licensed over the years to hitshows and she has been the featured vocalist onmany commercials. Occasionally, Wise’s brother-in-law, Bernie Reed, joins us to sing or produce songs of his own. Click to hear these artists.InfluencesChopin, Mendelssohn, J.S.
